Due to the site’s proximity to an established community, we have worked closely with nearby stakeholders including adjacent landowners to enhance the project’s proper integration into the overall fabric and context of the community.

Train Station


1399 Avenue U is located inside one of Ottawa’s many Transit Oriented Development (TOD) zones. These areas have been identified by the city as being key zones for enhanced density and building heights. 1399 Avenue U conforms to the plans that were envisioned by the City for this particular site.

1399 Avenue U is conveniently located only a few minutes from major intercity transport networks. On and off ramps to Highway 417 are located a few blocks away from 1399 Avenue U, while the nearby Ottawa Train Station offers frequent VIA Rail train service to Toronto and Montreal.



1399 Avenue U is located adjacent to a large proposal for a major government employment node which will see improvements to the nearby areas. New offices, retail offerings and parkland dedication will help enhance the diversity of employment opportunities and amenities in the area.

The nearby retail hubs of St. Laurent Shopping Centre and Ottawa Train Yards offer a diverse range of shops and retail experiences, ranging from well known clothing chains to electronics stores, to stores specializing outdoor equipment and apparel. LRT Station Trains


Residents at 1399 Avenue U will benefit from the proximity to the St. Laurent LRT Station, located less than 600m from the site. This transit network provides quick and convenient access to Ottawa’s major employment centers in the Downtown Core and Tunney’s Pasture, as well as Ottawa’s two major universities.
